Description: Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly becoming part of everyday clinical
practice administrative support. And while AI offers promising opportunities to improve
efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and enhance patient care, it also raises
important legal, ethical, and liability questions for physicians. This session will provide
practical guidance on physician liability, documentation, oversight responsibilities, and
patient safety considerations.

Speaker: Matt Groves, JD
Matt Groves joined Copic in 2023 as General Counsel and Compliance Officer after more than 27 years in private practice, which included many years of working with Copic on various issues. His background includes a broad range of legal expertise in various areas of corporate law and governance, including significant experience representing health care providers and health care systems. His practice included extensive federal and state corporate litigation and trials in multiple jurisdictions. He oversees Copic’s various legal and compliance matters, in addition to advising the CEO and Board. Matt received his Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University of Chicago.
