The Iowa Academy of Family Physicians is pleased to bring you this series in partnership with the American Cancer Society and supported in part by the Iowa Cancer Consortium and the Iowa Department of Public Health. All webinars are free to attend and will take place over the Noon hour.
This Live series activity, The More You Know: Cancer Webinar Series, from 03/08/2017 - 11/08/2017, has been reviewed and is acceptable for credit by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

- Understand basic facts about ovarian cancer, including disease burden, risk factors, and symptoms.
- Be able to identify patients who may be at high risk for ovarian cancer.
- Understand the challenges related to developing an ovarian cancer screening test.
- Become familiar with the findings of the two largest screening trials, and the implications for screening average risk women.
